About the Exibition
A4–Aid for VCARE and Animal Welfare is a unique initiative that brings together celebrated masters and contemporary artists in support of the wellbeing of animals through art. Each participating artist has created a work in the intimate format of an A4 sheet, transforming works that are more accessible and suitable for urban spaces. Masters such as K.G. Subramanyan, Jyoti Bhatt, Jyotsna Bhatt, and Vasudevan Akkhitam join hands with a younger generation of practitioners, each contributing works that depict animals in symbolic, playful, or contemplative ways.
The exhibition highlights the possibility of bringing a master’s work into one’s home at an accessible price, while ensuring that every acquisition directly contributes to VCARE’s animal shelter in Baroda. Curated by Priyasri Patodia, the project emphasizes that art is not merely for visual aesthetics but can also become a medium for compassion and change.
