Just Another Playground

Just Another Playground is a collaborative experiment between Cocoon Fine Rugs and Priyasri Art Gallery, bringing together the artistic practices of Oona D’Mello, Vishakha Jindal, and Roshan Chhabria. This exhibition questions what a new “playground” for contemporary art might look like? What forms of interaction could it serve? What dialogues would it usher? The exhibition blurs the boundaries between craft, design, and fine art, while engaging viewers in dialogue, interaction, and space-making.

The artists essentially reflect the notion of strong craftsmanship that can be termed as Karta’ (Dooership). For each of these artists, the relationship between ‘fine-art’ and craftsmanship becomes extremely important in understanding their diverse methods to a quasi-scientific museum display.
