Untitled III - IV

Priyasri Art Gallery is pleased to present Untitled III and Untitled IV, two online exhibitions from the Untitled series, launched on 21st July and viewable through 21st August 2020. These exhibitions reflect the gallery’s ongoing commitment to supporting contemporary art and artists during unprecedented times.

Curated with insight and care, the exhibitions are facilitated by Moksha Kumar, an artist and art historian from MSU Baroda. Kumar, who has exhibited internationally and written extensively, brings both scholarship and sensitivity to the collective narrative shaped by the participating artists. These are creators whose practices we have long admired and are proud to present during a moment of global uncertainty.

For over 15 years, Priyasri Patodia has nurtured a vibrant artistic community through Priyasri Art Gallery in Mumbai and AQ@Priyasri - The Artist Studio in Baroda. This digital initiative is a continuation of that legacy, reinforcing connections with artists, curators, and collaborators past and present. The gallery sees this period not as a limitation, but as an opportunity to focus on what is possible by fostering new projects and collaborations despite the challenges.

The move to digital is a response to shifting realities. As COVID-19 accelerates our engagement with virtual spaces, the exhibitions ask urgent questions: Will the white cube remain relevant? Can the tactile experience of art be replaced or redefined? How will artists adapt and critique this transition?

Untitled III and Untitled IV mark a reflective yet forward-looking moment where art continues to thrive through adaptation, and where support, relevance, and resilience remain central to its evolution.
